I am here to help; whether it’s something that is happening in your life right now or events from the past that are continuing to affect you. It requires a huge amount of courage to ask for help or to seek assistance and support, especially from a stranger. Sometimes working with someone who we do not have an emotional attachment to is exactly what we need to start to make sense of what we are feeling and is happening in our lives.
I deliver a ” Person Centred” approach to counselling in order that you can:
Make the decisions that you feel are right for you
Better manage and talk about your emotions
Know that you have been listened to and heard
Build mutual trust and openness with others
Feel valued and accepted for who you are without being judged
Move towards an increased understanding of who you are and what you can offer the world
I strongly believe that you are the expert of your own life, no-one else. I am a fully trained counsellor and have spent many years within different organisations supporting people with a range of difficulties. We will work in a safe space and at a pace that you are comfortable with.

I am a registered BACP counsellor – I support individuals with their emotional wellbeing using Person Centred therapy, which focuses on understanding and accepting you and whatever it is that you are struggling with.
Counselling centres on listening to you and supporting you. It facilitates your openness around the concerns you experience. Person Centred therapy seeks to help you discover your own solutions and the specific obstacles faced by you. An objective of counselling is to enable you to talk about a difficulty and find a way forward that is right for you.
I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults, and sometimes use creative therapy as an aid because I have found that just talking and finding the words can be difficult or overwhelming, and creative therapy may help to put these feelings into words.
I am flexible with days and times, and I will see you at my private practice which is located discreetly and with easy parking in a small village in the south of the county.
I am a fully trained, experienced counsellor specialising in eating disorders. My initial training was based in Humanistic philosophy, which convinced me that we are all unique and expert in our own internal world. Following many hours of continued professional development, I have learned a great deal about other therapeutic styles and would now describe myself as an integrative/pluralist therapist.
My background is in private practice working with a variety of issues including loss, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, panic attacks, obsessional compulsive thoughts, bereavement, to name but a few. In particular, I have an interest in our relationship with food and trained as an Eating Disorder Counsellor working with BalancED MK (Milton Keynes Eating Disorder Service), who continually support people affected by eating disorders through ReBalance (a self-support group) and psycho-education.
“Therapy allows you to think about your life and get to know yourself as you speak to someone who understands and brings new perspective.”
~Emmy Van Deurzen~
Advanced Diploma in Counselling
Certificate in Eating Disorders
Masterclasses focusing on Eating Distress & workshops
As many of my clients suffer severe anxiety or serious illness, leaving them unable to travel, I provide home counselling for a £5.00 call-out fee in addition to the £35.00 counselling charge.
Sometimes life can be difficult to cope with and saying what’s in our minds can be even harder. You may feel empty, hopeless or even depressed. Counselling can help you to talk about your worries and deal with what is causing your emotional pain. My aim is to offer you a relaxed, warm and non-judgmental space where you feel at ease to talk, and together understand the root of your problems, thereby finding solutions towards a happier life.
The modality of my practice is based on Person-Centred approach but I have also trained in Transactional Analysis (TA) and use it on an integrative way. I believe that the individual has the power and autonomy to direct their own life and the counsellor’s role is to facilitate this self-discovery. I have experience in a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, hardship, relationships, loss, grief and other issues. I also have experience in preparing and delivering workshops to bereaved children and teenagers, also one-to-one counselling.
In addition to the above, I can offer therapeutic counselling in fluent Portuguese and conversational Spanish.

I am one of two counsellors working in a practice in rural Northamptonshire. We are easily accessible and offer a private and peaceful setting. I also offer a space in Northampton town centre.
We live in a complex, busy changing world. There are many different types of experiences that may be difficult to cope with in this fragmented society. Most of the time we get on with life but sometimes we are stopped in our tracks. Feeling overwhelmed can affect your personal life, health, well being and quality of life.
You can’t change the past but I can help you make sense of what you have experienced, offering you an opportunity to be heard and understood in a calm, confidential space. You may be experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress, lack of fulfilment at work, a recent trauma or bereavement. I am your companion to whatever it is you’re facing and help you explore how you can live a more balance life.
I have an inherently caring and nurturing disposition and my reflective nature and listening capabilities have led me to become a qualified counsellor. I hold a Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling which incorporates psychodynamic theory that deals with helping a client unravel deep-rooted issues from the past in order to resolve the impact it is having on them in the present, and person-centred theory where the clients focuses on changing the skewed perception he or she may have of themselves with a view to become the best person that they can be.
I have over 4 years experience working at Northampton Rape Crisis Centre, helping people with issues such as eating disorders, low self-esteem etc. I find the integrative approach most suitable as it allows me to adapt theory to suit the client. I am very passionate about my work and helping others to resolve internal conflicts. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and pride myself in maintaining a high standard of professionalism by complying with the ethical codes of conducts set by the BACP.
I provide a comfortable, secure, private space enabling clients to feel confident and safe enough to talk freely.
Certificate of Higher Education with Merit in Psychodynamic Counselling
Foundation Degree with Merit in Integrative Counselling
We can’t always control what happens to us and often when life gets difficult we are left feeling unable to cope. I have found this at various times in my life and found that counselling helped me. I believe the most important step when choosing a counsellor is finding someone you feel comfortable talking to.
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and can offer you a safe, warm and supportive space for you to talk freely. We can explore your worries and difficulties in a way that is not always possible with family and friends. These counselling sessions can help re-balance feelings of wellbeing, so you feel more able to cope with life and look forward to your future.
You can’t change the past, but I can help you make sense of what you have experienced and help you to move towards your future in a more positive way.
