NO COUPLES Sees adults and young people from age 16. Offers weekly, opened ended appointments. You may find that you have done your best to survive the struggle that life has brought you and you have adapted to the circumstances surrounding you. Perhaps you need help navigating difficult feelings around the past; you may have experienced loss, or you are finding that similar patterns of behaviours keep repeating. You may feel that you have got to a point in your life where you feel you need support in exploring these different elements of yourself, working through what is and isn’t useful to you anymore allowing you to move forward. Understanding yourself more and how you react to situations can help facilitate change, which can create new meaning in your life. Therapy is a place for you to bring all the parts of yourself. I work with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, stress, self-esteem and self-confidence, unhelpful patterns of behaviour, relationship problems, sexuality and gender, trauma. If you feel you would like to work with me, please make an initial appointment where we can talk more about what is bringing you, any fears and hopes you might have, and also talk about what the process of counselling can be like. We all have times in our lives when we feel like we’ve lost our way. You may have experienced life-changing events, like a family break-up, losing your job or the death of someone you love. You might not even know why you feel the way you do. At times like these, talking therapy might be the lifeline you need. Being given the opportunity to explore your thoughts and emotions can be your first step towards living a more balanced, satisfying life.

I can help you look at the issues troubling you and make sense of confusing and painful feelings. My personal style is warm, relaxed and non-judgemental. It is my aim to put you at ease and create a safe, confidential space in which you can speak freely and honestly.

As an Integrative Counsellor, I am able to use a number of different methods to work with my clients. I have worked extensively with young people, from 11 to 21 years old, over the last two years. I also have experience working with young people with physical and learning disabilities, as a support worker with Action for Children.

I have over 8 years experience as an integrative counsellor. I am registered with the BACP and use a range of skills/models from my training, my psychology degree and my further training to aid my work.
